Hey Y'all!!
I hope you all are doing well. What a crazy couple of months it has been!
This quarantine… lock-down… social-distancing period has definitely been an exercise in discovering what truly matters.
So thankful that Alabama's "Stay-at-Home" orders are starting to lift.
As an introvert, I truly have enjoyed the time at home with my family, but there are things that I have missed. I have tried to stay busy with cleaning and organizing, puzzles, exercising, movies, reading, and so much more, but sometimes I find myself just over it all and ready for life to get back to normal.
Anyway, I will probably go into more details about how we carried on through "stay-at-home orders", and continued safety measures, in a future post. Today I just wanted to do a more light and frivolous post. I do realize that in the scheme of things, working on my spring and summer wardrobe doesn't matter that much, but it has been a fun way to keep my spirits up during this time.
So, with that being said, let's get into my latest Stitch Fix box!!
First Things First
There are a few things you should know about my style before we jump into the details.
First, I will generally choose comfort over style. I hate to be in clothing that makes me miserable. I love soft, easy clothing.
Second, as you can probably tell from the first comment, I am not a fashionista. I want to look presentable and I want my clothing to make me happy. That is all! I'm not really concerned with brand names or impressing others.
Next, I want to keep my wardrobe to a minimum. I have not gone all-in on any one particular capsule wardrobe plan yet, but I do try to keep my wardrobe to a reasonable size. I tend to clean out my closet seasonally to get rid of the things that are worn out or that I no longer wear. If you would like to know more about my thoughts on capsule wardrobes, check out this blog post from this past autumn.
One more thing, if you would like to know more about the styles I like, be sure to check out my Pinterest board.
My Order
When I placed my order for a new box, I requested all tops and dresses, with no pants/bottoms or accessories. As you may know from my Winter Stitch Fix post, I was wanting the same thing last time and I was a little disappointed when that was not what I received. I do believe I stated this more clearly in my notes to the stylist on this occasion and it worked out well. I received four tops and one dress. Just what I needed!
*Tip – in your notes to your stylist, state clearly what you are hoping for in your Fix. Also, let your stylist know what you don't need or want in your Fix.
Delivery
With the pandemic in full swing, it took a little longer for my box to arrive. That was to be expected. Just made it more fun when it finally did arrive.
What Was In This Box?
Let me begin by saying I know I am not a model! I just hope my pics will help you to see what these clothes look like on a real, imperfect, plus-sized body. That being said, let's jump right into my box! 😉
The first item was a lovely, soft dress called the "Irene Faux Wrap Brushed Knit Maxi Dress" from Fortune + Ivy. I love the colors and print. Plus, it was so soft. I'm usually not a big fan of maxi dresses for me, but I loved the high-low affect of this one.
Next, was a comfortable polka-dot sleeveless top called the "Trucker Split Neck Knit Top" by Papermoon. I think I will be able to wear this one with several items I already own.
My next top was the "Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse" from Papermoon. I loved the color and soft print of this blouse. I also felt it was a little dressier than the other tops in my box, so it would help give me more options when going out.
My third top was a soft v-neck t-shirt called the "Dulce Short Sleeve Knit Top" from Emory Park. I think this one may be a "go-to" for easy dressing.
Last, but not least, was the "Fayette Mixed Material Blouse" from Papermoon. I wasn't sure about the color of this one for me. I do think I can wear it with several items I already own and it was comfortable and cute.
What Did I Keep?
I kept everything! I really did think my stylist did an awesome job this time. I'm so excited to have some new spring/summer tops and I can't wait to wear them! Plus, I loved the dress!
Will I Order From Stitch Fix Again?
Sure I will! I love how easy and fun it is. It may be a little while before my next order though, because I think I am almost done with my spring/summer wardrobe. I may add a pair of shorts and / or capri pants to my closet, but other than that I am done till fall.
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed this little peek at my last Stitch Fix box. If you are interested in trying Stitch Fix out, here is my affiliate link. It should give you a $25 credit on your first order.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you.
